And it feels so good to be home. Home in my brand-spankin', newly designed, beauty of a blog, that is. Isn't she hot?! Have you taken the grand tour? There are still a few bits and bobs to add to her, but I've got a feeling we are going to be spending a lot more time together from now on!
After about a month of trying to get my blog-head screwed back on and grasping at anything that resembled a normal daily routine, I'm back to wholeheartedly squeezing everything I've got out onto a big, shiny, gorgeous plate for you, my Feed Me Family, and making it my mission to put a little twinkle in your eye each day. For those who have been patiently waiting to see what Feed Me did next, and have stuck by my side as I sent little flurries of happiness to you on Faceook and Instagram, I want to give you a BIG virtual hug! Your gal is back and has so many wonderful things in store for you.
So I wanted to kick things off with a fun, lighthearted love list to brighten up your hump day. There's flamingos, SUP Yoga and a whole lot of food porn involved... Keen? Thought you might be!
Here's a list of things that are rocking my world right about now:
Even just saying the word 'SUP' makes you feel über cool!
Being that there isn't really any surf up here in sunny Townsville, the boy and I are getting right into the next best thing and taking advantage of the flat, calm water literally at our doorstep. Sunrise paddles, learning how to do killer 360s (without falling in and praying a stinger isn't close by!), and even signing up for my first SUP yoga class this weekend! I know right, I am crazy excited! To be able to combine two things I love, whilst being out on the water with likeminded sisters - totally in love. I'll be sure to fill you in on how it goes.
2. Killer Kitchen Creations
Having your own kitchen with all your own stuff in it is a traveller's dream, and I am totally living it! It's the simplest things that I'm digging right now and my kitchen is making my heart sing everyday! Here's a snapshot of all the fun I've been up to over the last week - and make sure you're following me on Insta for all the juicy bits in real time - @feed_me_blog.
Playing Aunty Tata and dancing to Hi5 with your nephew - Pure Joy! Nuff said.
4. Travel Plans
By no means anything like what I'm used to, but a very choc-a-block 9 days in May covering Sydney, Gold Coast and Melbs, 3 big birthdays, and my first hip hop yoga class. Yes I know, EPIC times ahead! I don't know what I am more excited for; Melbourne's food and fashion, big family hoo-ha's, or finally getting to meet Lola Berry?! (MAJOR food nerd/girl crush going on over here!).
5. Playing Interior Designer
One new, empty, interstate apartment + only one ute full of personal items can only mean one thing - Shopping! I've gone nuts trying to decide what goes with what (talk about pressure, trying to make sure everything looks good with everything!), but finally it is all either bought or on some slow moving truck coming from Brissie, and we are one step closer to having a furnished house. As fun as it has been living without a dining table or any lounge room furniture for over two weeks, I'm ready to plant my behind on something soft instead of standing for every meal! The biggest, yet surprisingly easiest furniture decision of them all - no TV! Yep, we actually forgot we didn't have one until recently. And don't think we will be getting one anytime soon.
I do have to mention one of my favourite home-y things right now - The gorgeous new art work just released by Sophie Bell from Peppa Hart (and her Mum). So bloody cool!! Getting my order in quick smart and snapping up one of these birds for my bedroom. Check out her fab flamingo piece here - So in love!
Nerd alert: I am loving studying! Seriously, sounds weird I know. But it has become so clear to me how different it is this time around. After high school, I went straight to Uni and pretty much had to drag my butt through the three years of business and hospitality management. Because I just didn't love it. But now, digging into all the different dietary theories and coaching tips in my health coaching course, has me wanting to soak up every drop of wisdom. Because it means so much more to me than just a piece of paper at the end of it. It's my passion, my every day life.
I don't know if it is the awesome NQ weather or the fact that I now live just two blocks from the water and can walk or ride my bike to anywhere (including work), but I am soaking up every second outside these days and thriving off every bit of fresh air. I've moved my meditation outside, practice yoga in the park, and am up early most mornings for an ocean swim.
8. Inspirational Sistas
As some of you may know, I have also been soaking up some life-changing words of wisdom from the gorgeous Rachel MacDonald, via her e-course - Bright Eyed and Blog Hearted. Not only has this course created a mind explosion of joy, creativity and curiosity, but it has also brought some incredible ladies into my daily Facebook feed. There are some killer bloggers out there at the moment that I have had the pleasure of interacting with and simply observing during the last 5 weeks of this course, and I gotta tell ya - It really lights my fire. I really hope I can introduce some of them to you over the next few weeks.
9. Dart Designs
And finally, I couldn't end this list without sharing some praise for my friend Curtis from Dart Designs - the awesome designer behind my new logo and branding for my blog. If you're looking for a design that blows your mind, he's your man.
And, that's a wrap.
What's on your love list this week, gorgeous? What's making you smile? Spread the love around and share with me below.
